Secret Society Wed. w/ Moullinex & Xinobi

All in a good days work, music blastin’, wind is blowin’, and people are dancin’. As Las Vegas own Jacuzzi Hi-Dive jams out giving the crowd an amazing show, Bruno (Xinobi) and Luis (Moullinex) are in the back dancing to the tunes. As the crowd showing much love to the band as they play their last song, I’m snapping away getting every shot I can to have as a memory. I have to thank Aram for putting all of this together and everyone that went and had a great time.

I had a chance to catch up with Moullinex and Xinobi after the set witch was amazing to say the least and they let me ask a few question for my first time interview with the blog!

Moullinex (Gomma) Xinobi (Discotexas)

did you enjoy Vegas?

Moullinex- It was great, the vibe we got in the party was totally unexpected, We loved it! Well at least I’m taking for my self haha

What got you in to house music?

Xinobi – I was a punk metal guy and then some how I fell in love with the daft punk video clips from Homework – Revolution 909 with the tomatoes I really fell in love with the video clips then fell in love with the music then discovered the first Super Discount: The Album with Etienne De Crecy and Alex Gopher but after that I just fell in love with another kind of music that normally metal guys and rockers despise.

Moullinex- That’s a really good question haha I came from a really unorthodox way because I was listening to… (xinobi: korn!) lol first thing I was listening to electronic wise was Amon Tobin you know or Aphex Twins and I got it from there the more extream IDM stuff then I started listening to more dance stuff then that’s when I got in to house then I never left.

hows do you like getting to travel around the states?

Moullinex- well its awsome to be in New York the day before then fly over to Vegas the day after then go to a few more cities then go back to eurupe its awsome but we had some much shit this tour, we had a emergency landing in Heathrow [London] we had a car crash [small, very small] but we just mention it just cause a car crash in america it looks cool] its just fun haha, but Bruno lost his passport, it just being realy picky but its been a really good tour…

Xinobi- I love traveling, but I hate leaving the people we meet, like tomorrow we have to leave to the airport but its really good and very inspiring, you have to remember it’s a job as well as a hobby some time you have to be professional

Yeah but it is fun hah so any new projects?

Xinobi – Hes making an album, I’m making an album… I play guitar in the Moulinex live version band and hes moving to Portugal so we are going to be calibrating more and more…

Moullinex- yeah we have realy excitting stuff coming out on Discotexas [rec.] a guy from France called Douce and then its going to be a project im doing but with another name called countjackula, then im relecing a ep (Moulinex) on gomma in june… and yeah that’s it for now…

Last but not least besides the EP (Forbidden Cuts vol 1) whats with the pineapples?

Xinobi- IT’S A SECRET!

Moullinex- no… its just something we have… if they are gone we know it’s a good party! Hah

He has been in the blog game for awhile (The Thrill is Gone) and has been doing some big things. With some upcoming projects like The Dank House and many others, I can not wait to see what he is going to come with next.
